SOIS Research: Credible Websites

Websites should be evaluated (see tab for further details)

1) Currency - find copyright © to see when the page was updated, usually at bottom of page or the date of the article

2) Relevancy - use "cmd + F" to see if your keywords are on the page

3) Accuracy - confirm information by finding other websites with the same information

3) Authority - use the 'about' or 'contact us' to see confirm if the author or editors have expertise

4) Point of view - consider the purpose of the website and why the author published it;

Note: Citation machines (Mybib and Mendeley recommended) will give you a warning if websites have potentially inaccurate details
